Dog trainer
In this video we have Steel off leash some. His overall response to me is getting better every day. You’ll notice he sits faster, when he should, and is off leash but we still have a short leash on him to use when need be.

A little trouble sitting but that’s okay. We were in farm and fleet for about 45 minutes. We people watched and worked on heeling and sitting the whole time. Very proud of Steel!
So everything is new for Steel here. He does pretty good for the most part but distractions make listening difficult ( not just for Steel but every dog ) Carts being pushed around, the intercom going off, the hustle and bustle of people, other dogs, the list goes on. I didn’t let anyone pet steel… Continue
Steel going to farm and fleet for some training and then a picture of him tired on the way home! Lol
No Leash! Steel is completely loose and free! You’ll notice even with his big surroundings he still wants to be next to me, and is trotting over to me when I say “come” now- great job buddy!
Not much here just talking about how we’ve practiced and little things like taking the collars on and off, and how he has developed patience and being okay with have my hands on him!
In this video I talk about the importance of how the e collar is used, the different levels of it , and how we can expect Steel to respond to it. And what our goals are.
Walking and explaining Steels progress
So the concept here is that when I say “come” he gets a very light nick on the collar and that is the same thing or even less pressure than jerking the leash- he will learn that when he’s told to come that he should, and will. The collar is the bad guy and we… Continue
Steel in the process of learning that when he’s told to come, it’s not an option. So Using the collar and leash to get him to come to us!
Talking about the importance of having Steel be 110% on the same page us before we start moving to off leash
Play time with Kirby
Steel has met numberous people and numerous dogs- every time he gets better. Sit and heel with Bill
This is a good friend of mine Bill Suchy. He has dogs of his owns and comes out on the weekends to hang out. I had Bill walk steel to get him use to another person. They did great
Steel starting to lighten up around me! Good to see
I wanted these two to get together. It’s important for Steel to know that no matter who has him, that they are in charge. Right now Steel is ready to be controlled 100% of the time but we can take baby steps towards that by having Sarah just give short tugs on the leash and… Continue
More of the formal obedience – this will start to be the new normal- pretty soon he will learn that when I stop, he sits and then we will continue to grow- keep in mind this is only day 3 Baby steps are gunna make him an even better dog than he already is
A start to our formal obedience – between this clip and the second you’ll see Steel actually key into me a couple times, meaning he looks up at me, licks his lips, or exhibits a behavior that says “your in charge, what’s next” This was very good to see and a step in the right… Continue
A walk outside with Steel- still getting to know one another
Just a walk around Steel and getting to know each other
In this video I believe Steel is just exhibiting barrier frustration or barrier aggression, he’s unsure of what’s happening and is protecting his small space. Like we talked about on the phone- I don’t see this as an issue right now and it’s not something I’m going to do a lot to correct- once I… Continue
